Mario Mirror

I really enjoy the graphics of the original Nintendo. Adam’s Mega Man prints earlier this week inspired me to use the graphics for one of my projects. So for my Friday project, I created a Super Mario Brothers software mirror. I built it using the video library in Processing. I used only the eight colors visible in the original Mario, corresponding each color to a range of colors that the camera would be seeing. I lowered the screen resolution as well to match the original graphics. So when you stand in front of a camera input (in this case my laptop’s webcam) a Mario-stylized reflection is shown on the screen. I took a lot of screenshots. The link to them is below.
