taking it to the street
By Kristin O'Friel on Day 5
i wanted to work in public space today. on my walk to school this morning the shadows were particularly striking, so i decided to do a series of shadow tracings, capturing ephemeral moments and creating persistent artifacts.
Andrew Schneider accompanied me on my second outing and documented for his so fucking meta meta blog.
sightings:
i also made a project called ‘play here’ that involves identifying urban trees as locations of play. there is something so alluring about a tree that is large enough to support my weight. next time you walk past a tree in new york city, touch it, hug it, or climb it! it will do you good and might just make you smile.
